Education is fundamental to end poverty and achieve the Millennium Development Goals. Education is the basis of a society. If education exists, the development standarts will be higher.



However, education is not only for creating a solid base for development. Education is also a human right that should be available to everyone. Education empowers women since it gives them the means to achieve gender equality socially, politically and economically.

GOAL #2:
Achieve universal primary education

  1. Bullet In Subsaharian Africa and South Asia, 80% of  the children don’t go to school.


  1. Bullet Girls represent almost 60% of all the children that don’t go to school.


  1. Bullet There’s almost 115 million children in the world that don’t go to school.

  1. Bullet Improve access a quality of education.


  1. Bullet Fees should be abolished.


  1. Bullet It’s important to build more schools in rural areas.

  2. Bullet More and better teachers have to be acquired.

  3. Bullet The external debt has to be forgiven so that more resources can be used to implement these measures.
