This Millennium Development Goal intends to change the statistics and allow evey child an equal oportunity for a healthy life and reduce child mortality to two thirds.


99% of children’s deaths occur in developing countries, especially in Subsaharian Africa and the Asian Sub Continent.


The World Bank estimates that if investments are made now in health iniciatives, children’s productivy will be seven times greater. In return, less money will be spent on social security and the economical productivity will increase.

GOAL #4:
REduce child mortality

  1. Bullet 20% of all the children in the world are located in Subsaharian Africa so that means that 50% of all the deaths occur here.

  2. Bullet 1 in every 4 children is not protected with the necessary vaccines.

  3. Bullet 70% of all deaths are caused by many diseases (Malaria, Pneumonia).

  1. Bullet The govern needs to give financial aids to improve the basic health service.


  1. Bullet More information campaigs in order to teach basic health knowledge (vaccines, drinking water).

  2. Bullet The richest countries need to give aid to guarantee basic health services.
